Why CRM Data Cleanup Costs More Than You Think
Dirty CRM data is a silent budget line. Every duplicate contact gets emailed twice, every bounced address hurts your sender reputation, and every stale record is a rep or VA hour that produces nothing. The calculator above turns those invisible hours into a dollar figure so you can decide whether to clean in-house, automate, or outsource.
How the Estimate Is Calculated
The math is simple and fully transparent — three steps, using only your inputs:
1. Bad records = total records × your bad-record %. This is how many records you expect to need fixing.
2. Cleanup hours = (bad records ÷ 1,000) × your hours per 1,000. This scales your per-thousand estimate up to the whole list.
3. Cleanup cost = cleanup hours × your hourly cost. This converts hours into dollars.
The estimate covers manual review and fixing time only — it does not include bounce-related deliverability damage, duplicate outreach costs, or opportunity cost of delayed campaigns, so consider it a floor rather than a ceiling. And because every default is an editable assumption, the result is only as good as the numbers you enter.
